(III Mov. – “Lyrical” thematic idea)
Similar to the second movement, the development of the “lyrical” idea of the third movement
features many surprising harmonic turns and frequent, refreshing tonal changes. The music
conveys a pure, natural and lively atmosphere and is reminiscent of human, especially childlike
voices.
In bar 237, the dedicatee or performing soloist is called upon to play his or her own solo cadenza.
