With these words, the acclaimed Venezuelan
Maestro Alirio Díaz praised the beginnings of
the exciting career of his countryman
Sef Albertz (*1971).
Today, the German-Venezuelan artist
exposes his creative work and develops fully,
with tireless enthusiasm, his multifaceted
activities, enchanting the most varied
audiences in Europe and Latin-America.
In his 2009 visit to Leipzig, the famous
Ibero-American composer and guitarist
Leo Brouwer recognized, deeply impressed
and with admiration, the artistic versatility of
Albertz, describing to him as “an integral
musician with an immense culture”.
Sef Albertz‘s creative passion and his
innovative musical proposals have earned
him not only the recognition of renowned
cultural institutions such as UNESCO or
the Cervantes Institute, but also respect as
“a great artist” among his colleagues as it‘s
asserted by Marlos Nobre, the illustrious
Latin-American composer.
More recently, leading Ukrainian composer
Valentin Silvestrov has described Albertz‘s
work as “Wonderful Music! There are many
perceptible influences which harmonise well
with each other. A very modern, an absolutely
contemporary musical language [...] a natural
consequence of avant-gardism“.

distributed exclusively by Universal Edition.
